Changes in the prosodic structure of journalistic text before and after speech therapy intervention

Prosody has a crucial role in TV news speaking style transmitting the message to listener. Speaking influences prosodic structure and may characterize distinctive mark of person or social group speech. Besides, allows speaker attract listener´s attention particular chunks his/her announcement. The aim this work is study rhythmic organization Brazilian Portuguese (BP) by analyzing evolution normalized duration vowel-to-vowel units (VV units) throughout utterances two conditions (before after vocal training workshops). For students journalism were submitted workshops for six months.
